Hey guys need some help
i am confused between a razer 15 and macbook pro
just wanna use for transfering some files and browsing thats all
i know that macos have evolved much now but would it be fine if i just install only windows 10 on it if i purchase one or do i have to use both ?

If all you care about is Windows anyway, get the Razer. It's perfectly fine installing only Windows on the Mac, but it doesn't run optimally under Windows. Battery life isn't good, thermals aren't great under Windows - it's not as good an experience as it'd be with the Razer if all you want is Windows. Frankly Apple doesn't give very good driver support for Windows and while for some things you can just use the component's regular Windows driver, Apple has custom chips like it's SMC which manages the thermals of the computer and the drivers aren't as good as on macOS. - Windows works on Macs more as an "if you really need a Windows program" not as a day-to-day use system I'd say.
In my opinion the biggest reason to get a Mac is macOS. If that's not a factor for you, then the hardware isn't really a good choice - while the hardware itself is good, it isn't that good paired with anything but macOS relative to the competition.

If you're going to run exclusively Windows, then don't buy a Mac.

I know but i cannot resist those slim beautiful macbooks lol
no other brand offers such great looking laptops

Sure. And if you want to do that in Windows, I do not recommend a Mac. If you want to do it in macOS, you're golden with a Mac, but if you want to use Windows, a Mac isn't the best option. Not if it's solely for Windows anyway. - And honestly with that workload you don't exactly need a high end laptop either :)

You can do that stuff just fine in macOS. If you want a Mac, then it'd make more sense to use macOS on it.

Trust me you do not want to do this

The drivers for Bootcamp are mediocre at best, and just plain unreliable for important tasks

Here’s a list of issues I’ve encountered:
- Laptop stays on while lid closed
- Display or sound occasionally stuck at max level
- Basic settings not available, such as changing trackpad speed

Bootcamp is a good backup or second option (like me for gaming), but it’s not something I’d buy to solely use

Razers, Surface laptops are imo, just as good looking and are generally better built imo.

While neither of those two are considered cheap, they are alternatives. When I owned a mac, I always had issues running windows, not major problems but a handful of niggling problems because windows is not Apple's primary focus, quite the contrary they want you to run macOS and be in their ecosystem to make more money off of you. Also for Mac laptops, you're dealing with them running hotter, and not being as efficient power-wise, your battery will not be providing optimal power.

I'm a big believer of using the right tool for the job, if you're going to run windows, then get a PC, if you have mac stuff then get a mac. btw, I'm currently rocking with a Razer 15" and its a beautiful, solid fast machine that blows the doors off any Mac, whether we're talking performance or specs, or components but also build quality.

Another big reason for a PC if you're not running MacOS - no T2 chip to worry about

no mac it is then
also 1 more question is razer better or msi ?
i have heard that razer laptops have made a name but some models usb c ports stop working after a time and they shut down when getting too hot ?. Arr these things true about razer

i am asking all these things cos in india there is no official razer store yet and no great customer service yet plus if something happens in my razer if i purchase one i have to send it to singapore
also though msi has better service here

also 1 more question is razer better or msi ?
MSI makes nice fast laptops, both are gaming type laptops and as such, they have higher-end GPUs then what you'll get in a MBP. more powerful GPUs will produce more heat, no question. Comparing both Razer and MSI, I would determine which one provides the best support and/or if you're able to get a third party extended warranty. For instance, I purchased my Razer through Amazon and I also purchased their warranty so any work that needs to happen will be between myself and Amazon bypassing Razer's support.

and they shut down when getting too hot ?.
All computers will shut down if they get too hot, I believe Razer's design is superior to many others because instead of a heat pipe, they use a vaper champer and its more efficient at managing the heat. My razer is quieter and runs cooler then my form laptop - Thinkpad X1E.

My point is not trying to sell you on Razer but rather point out that PC makers have caught up and in many respects surpassed apple in design, performance and quality. I believe you'll still need to do your due diligence

Are you interested in gaming since you're not looking more at office style laptops? Your workload seems it'd be better suited for a thin and light, less heat-generating office style laptop - But I mean, not to deter you from anything. Sure you'll be happy with whatever you get

I actually am a gamer but due to study load cant right now
it wont hurt to have a laptop that can run games like pubg dmc and doom smoothly plus i usually keep my gadgets in good shape for many years so i am thinking of buying a great laptop

Verify that you have the latest Boot Camp update from within Apple Software Update. The latest update has corrected many of the issues that we have experienced previously on systems with select video cards.
