Is it safe to Update from OS 10.11.8 to OS 10.12 on a SSD attached to a Velocity Solo x2 pci card? Should I pull it and attach it to the main drive buss?

Installing OS 10.12 on PCI mounted SSD

Made clone as suggested and installed Sierra on my cMP directly onto a EVO 1 TB SSD mounted on a Velocity X2 PCI card. Took about 1 hour with download. Was a good update no issues. Ran Diskwarrior 5 after install and now it's running even better. Feels faster after DW repair the directory was in poor condition. Happy I did not need the clone..
