INSTALLING OS.X, Can Not Select Distination Drive

We finally got the firmware upgraded, and the Seagate 40Gb hard drive (as MASTER) installed.

Now it's time to install OS.10.3 on this iMAC G3.

I have set up my 8Gb partition for the system, but OSX refuses to let me select this partition (or any partition) for installation. The partition is a JORNALIZED.

What I am doing wrong? 😕

Are you sure your install disks are Full versions and not upgrades (Because they look identical at first glance)...

Is the partition smaller than 8GB?

Have you formatted your new drive??

If you partitioned and formatted your drive from the installer CD, did you reboot afterwards? It seems that the installer will not be able to utilize newly created partitions. A reboot will usually solve this. Maybe not the case for you, but it has gotten me before.
