Okay so here's the problem, my macbook pro recently had a problem with the hard drive. The end solution was that I formatted the drive using disk utility.

How do I install OS X over target disk mode? The original disks for the computer are scratched an unreadable however I do have disks for a newer macbook as well as an iMac.

So the end question is, is it possible to install OS X via target disk mode using any other OS X disks? I also have the install DVD for Snow Leopard, not specific to any computer.
