Hi

I have just picked up a G3 600MHZ iMac and want to put OSX on it. It currently however has some form of UNIX / LINUX on it called 'ubuntu'

I have put in a 10.2 DVD and tried to boot from it. It gets so far, but when it asks me to select an HD to install it on none show up. Do I need to wipe unix off first, if so how do i do this.

Thanks for any help

Will

Problem solved I think

Hi

I think I have solved the problem by using Disk utility first to erase the HD.

I would find an OS X.3 CD rather than an OS X.2 CD. OS X.3 is a lot better OS from 10.2 and is more compatible with today's applications as well as tomorrow's. OS X.3 can be found really cheap on eBay.
