Is it possible?

I rescued a perfectly functioning Graphite iMac G3 (600 mhz) from the dumpster. Has no OS on the HDD. I can get an official copy of the Puma (10.0-->10.1) discs for free. I worry that it may not work though?

Thanks!
Jim

Will work fine, frankly though I'd recommend Panther/Tiger if you have any access to them.. I used to run Tiger on a iMac G3 DV+ (400mhz I believe) with fairly good success.

I wouldn't bother with 10.0 or 10.1. The first real "useable" version was 10.2 (although, I was slowly moving to OSX by 10.1).

I would go ahead and put Tiger on it, if you can. Panther would be ok too, but go for 10.4.
