Hi GUYS,

Anyone installed their own RAM on the NEW (mid 2010) Macbook pro yet?

Not sure if it is the same as previous installations - having trouble finding instructions for the latest model online.

ALSO - any pros and cons of APPLE'S RAM vs OWC's RAM?

Thanks!

Scott

It's still the same RAM: 204-pin 1066 MHz PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM.

http://support.apple.com/manuals/ >>> http://support.apple.com/manuals/#macbookpro >>> http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/MacBook_Pro_15inch_Mid2010.pdf or whatever MBP you have.

It might have even been in your MBP box, cloaked as UserGuide, but that differs as I recall.

Then turn to page 37 and read the text and view the graphics.

Or http://www.ifixit.com, as nothing has been changed internally on how to access the RAM since the last update in June 2009.
