Hi

Check this out:

In this spanish blog, somebody got SL before the official date, he is installing it right now and he is going to check the build as soon as the install is complete.

Should be good if 432 is the GM, will get it early and just wait for my nice shiny disk to turn up later in the week :).

You do know there's a possibility your downloaded image is not an exact copy? I don't think I'd rely on a build number to ensure that. Besides, it's 3 days. What are you going to gain by not waiting?

I've already pre-ordered my copy but I'm still curious about the final build number. This guy has been installing SL for hours now!

It's the world's most advanced operating system. It's just really slow to install. :D

It's likely it wont be an exact copy, the OS however will be the same.

It's 3 days until official release, it looks like Apple UK won't be shipping SL out until Friday, bank holiday on Monday, so it will be the middle of next week if not late next week before it turns up. Added to that theirs no place locally that will be selling it.

Really Apple should ship it tomorrow so I get it for Friday :)

I'm betting it is 10A432. For every single release of Mac OS--going all the way back to the original 10.0--there have been "late-breaking" rumors that the build thought to be RTM is not the real RTM build and that the "real" RTM build has been recompiled without all the infamous, downright notorious "debug code."

And each time, those rumors have been wrong--as is the recurring claim of "debug" code. Honestly, build 10A432 is either the RTM build or it is not, I'm still buying whatever is released on Friday.

OP, next time, upload the images with the post. Don't hotlink it.

10.6 has a 4 hour install process!

Sorry, it's NOT 4 hours.

More like 30 minutes on a desktop mac with a clean partition. Mac OS X install is start and forget, no baby sitting required, so I didn't time it.

10A436?

"Parece que la versión es finalmente la 10A436. Esta captura supuestamente así lo prueba:

Aprovecho para preguntar: ¿alguien sabe con certeza si vamos a poder comprarlo el mismo viernes en los Apple Shops de los Corte Inglés en Madrid?

Saludos."

Could be fake, I can't tell.
