Hi,
I tried installing mac snow leopard from a USB stick after learning the installation through several forums. To my bad luck the laptop is shutting down in the mid of the installation and I have lost my leopard as well. Can some body please tell me how should I install it completely. Also, I made my thumb drive bootable on mac and windows is not detecting my drive. Can some body please help me in formatting using windows. Thanks an regards.

Regards,
Ravi.

what type of laptop do you have and what did you use to make USB bootable of your snow leopard installation media? Did you hold down the alt key while booting to select the USB?

is your bootable USB drive of your installation media disc is formatted as HFS+ and partition scheme to GUID? for the bootable USB to work it must be formatted as HFS+ and partition scheme to GUID using Disk utility and can be done on a mac and not on windows .

you then can use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone installation media disc onto the USB drive.
