Installing software via target disk mode

So Front Row enabler screwed up my powerbook. the macs in my computer lab are running panther.
my powerbook comes up as a drive when i plug it in via firewire. i need to reinstall update 10.4.8 on my powerbook. is it possible to do this with this setup?

Start at the beginning, whaddya wanna do? Are you wanting to install 10.4.8 from scratch? Why do you need the lab computers? 😱
