How are you struggling with the cd? Can you not put it in the drive?

ummm my guess is he is trying ot run windows programs on OSX?

but we need more details, what exactly are you doing?
you mention its windows software, but you are not mentioning if you are using bootcamp/virtual OS?

to run windows software you can try WINE (you can run SOME windows apps on OSX), Bootcamp (windows on your MBP, must restart and boot into windows), or Virtual Machine (can run Windows and OSX simultaneously)

so what exactly are you doing?

Are you sure you want to use a windows server software to run applications? Are you planning on using Bootcamp to dual boot your computer?

Inside
Boot Camp Assistant won't see the cd properly. Just put the cd in the drive and restart the Mac while holding the Option key. Then choose the Windows cd. Once you start the installation process, make sure you pick the correct partition.

You may also try a virtual machine. There are 3 of them available and you do not need to repartition your hard disk.

For your own sake, book a Genius Bar appointment and ask them to do it. I dont want to see you lose your info...

The genius bar is not for repais only?

They are willing to install?

What if you have a copied cd? From. Friend? Will they still do it?

I can see this ending with Windows 2003 (?) getting installed over OS X and a new thread being made.

You were :windows xp is installed and I think MAC OS X IS wiped off.

I will be booking an genius appointment on the weekend.

It's been a nightmare to partition it's not an easy task...

Had to get someone else to help me too.

Just hopeeverythibg I did delete I have it in my mail somewhere.
