I used Boot Camp to install Windows 7 a few months back and everything was working fine. However, right after I did that my optical drive stopped working & Recently, my Windows hard drive has crashed and I have had nothing but problems with it. It won't start up 90% of the time & I almost wasn't even able to start up my Mac drive.
My only option seems to completely re-partition it, but my optical drive does not work anymore. I thought of buying an external disc drive and re-doing boot camp with that but I was told it may not work. Does anyone have any solution to this? Thank You & I'd really appreciate any help.

Only the rMBP and Air will boot windows from USB, microsoft's fault, not Apple's. Windows setup absolutely wants to be installed from an internal drive.
