Installing Windows 8 with installer.exe

Dear Sirs,

I'm a newbie in the forum, I apologize for bothering you but I have a short question for you...Will be delighted if you could help me.

I bought the Windows 8 copy online from microsoft, but when I click "download", just a 5.2MB "windows8-installer.exe" pops up.

I'm currently running Mountain Lion only in my macbook pro. Could you please help me from this point.....

.exe files are Windows only executables.

OP: For the .exe to properly run, you need some kind of Windows in order to run the installer, which downloads the rest.

And what version did you buy? Do you have a link?
