I have downloaded the ISO from Microsoft's site (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/iso)

I have burnt the ISO into a disc, used boot camp, it restarted - everything went fine it started installing from the disc (still the black screen install) and suddenly I got this error saying I'm missing the file: \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe

What did I do wrong?

I never came across that when I installed Windows 8 on my MacBook Pro. Does the problem repeat if you start the process again?

If this message was displayed even before the first Install Windows dialog appeared, you might have inadvertently done an EFI boot. Try restarting the computer holding down the alt/option key to bring up the boot device menu, and boot from the Windows optical disk (or flash drive) icon, not the EFI Boot optical disk (or flash drive) icon.
