Hi there!

I need a brief dummie's guide for installing X11. I just downloaded DarWine, and there's one particular EXE I really want to run. It says I need to install the X11 windowing system. Wiki says I should look in /Volumes/Mac OS X Install Disc 1/System/Installation/Packages/X11User.dmg on the setup disk. When I type this into the Go To Folder command, it can't find anywhere. Obviously it's the wrong address, but what should I type?

Many many thanks in advance...

The install DMG for X11 is located in the install disk for Tiger (or the restore disk, if you got your computer after Tiger's release). What you want to do is download Pacifist and extract the X11 installer from the OS X install disk, and then install X11. Good luck! :)

yay! It worked!

I have now encountered another problem. I'm trying to get DarWine to work. And it's saying it needs Freetype installed. I've downloaded it, but all I get is a folder. Where should I put this folder?
