Installing XP in Paralleles key problems

I have a few different versions of XP that I have installed on a PC without having to type in the registration codes (these are custom modded "lite" versions).
When I try installing them into Parallels I can skip the first time it asks for a code by just unchecking the box but when the last step comes up it wants me to enter the code. This version of XP has no code and I never got this when I installed it on a PC. Like I said, I tried a few versions and got the same thing each time.

Does anybody know a way around this or am I just going to have to buy a copy of XP?

All versions of windows, even the 'lite' ones you probably found online have product keys, even if you didnt enter one, it is sometimes automated using software like nlite or vlite for vista.
