Apparently there's an app called 'Apollo' for the iPod Touch which can use MSN, AIM, and mac accounts.

I can't find a link to a site or anything yet.

12 days until I get my Touch!!

In order to use these apps and web based IMs, does the iPod Touch have to be jailbroken?

for example beejive, can i use that on my non jailbroken touch ?

beejive thing

Yes, my ipod touch is not jailbroken, I didnt download anything either, just went to the site and logged in. I did also try Mebo, and that worked sometimes. I suggest beejive! http://iphone2.beejive.com :) hope this helped!

Freebee!

Yes it is free--didnt pay a thing. Hope you like it!:)
It's a free Beta app right now, and only for a trial period.

Its equivalent for the Blackberry is only $20, so when it's out of Touch beta it shouldn't cost any more than that.

beejive-misread

Oh im sorry didnt realize you were talking about using beejive on your blackberry (my fault) I have never added it to a blackberry, I dont own one yet, but I use it on my ipod touch. Now that is free...:p

You did mis-read what I said. I said the program is in beta testing (for the Touch) right now but will likely be for sale only after it completes beta.

My mention of Blackberry was in reference to the probable cost when they start charging for the Touch version. Since the cost for Blackberry users is $20, I thought it likely that Touch users would probably be charged about the same amount.

I've never even held a Blackberry.

EDIT ADDITION:
I should have checked the source before commenting. TouchCopy is now available in its full version Free for a 15 day demo trial period. After the 15 days are up you'll have to purchase it for $19.99 to continue using it. It's well worth the price.

ipod messenger

I use the yahoo messenger for my ipod touch. If you would like this messenger you can purchas it on the app store. I hope this helps for you.:apple:
