What would you recommend as the best IM for Mac for MSN network. Tried the Microsoft Messenger, but no a fan. Any suggestions....

I've used "aMSN" before. It was a little slower than Microsoft Messenger, but had webcam functionality.

I'm willing to bet money it does. If ichat can't do what you need, adium definitely can. (Unless you want something that's, like, impossible, but that goes without saying :p). Meebo is an online IM client, and fluid is a program that lets you turn web pages into apps... sort of. Check them out. The meebo w/fluid is an interesting combination, I personally wouldn't use it though.

EDIT: Just read psychofreak's post. Apparently you need the "Mercury" plugin/addon/thingy.

Adium is a lovely program to use. I personally love being able to change the themes. I don't have many friends who use video chats, so its not much of a bummer for me. :)

Adium does NOT do video and audio chat. However with the Mebeam extension you can right click on a buddies name and click video/audio chat. It will then send them a link in the chat which will open a new browser window and you can video audio chat. Works with all platforms. (download from adiumxtras.com)

Meebo also does video and audio in the same way, and is what I currently use.

you can try out meebo right er...www.meebo.com. Its a website not a program but its pretty good.

also dnt be too harsh to the regulars. It takes a while to learn their sarcasm and it can be annoying 4 em when people ask the same question. Yours is a common question cause mac messenger client sucks!
