I apologize if this has been posted before, i did a quick search and did not see a thread. I'm trying to go 100% paperless and one item i'm having a very hard time overcoming is an app that will store my insurance cards (i have 3). Thank you in advanced.

Docady is a great and safe way to secure things like your insurance cards and other personal documents. It's totally free but iirc it requires an email to set up.

Are you talking about health insurance? The office assistants at your doctor's office will have difficulty scanning your cards off your iPhone.

They don't need to scan them. They just need the numbers to key in.

While that is true, they prefer to copy them so that they can enter the numbers later. The hospitals here all scan the cards directly into the patient records. Trying to hand them a phone would just mess up their system.

I suppose that's true if you're going to a new doctor. Hadn't thought of that. I was just thinking that they usually key it in because my insurance card doesn't even have a barcode lol. Ah well. Those admissions clerks are overpayed anyways. Let's just make their job harder.
