am awaiting my 13" 4gb, hopefully tomorrow and am looking for insurance, obviously Applecare is an extended warranty and does not cover me breaking it, however have come across Gadget insurance on GoCompare.com.

A laptop up to the value of £1200 for £5.24, this will just cover my Macbook in value, can anyone else recommend anything ?

Call your home insurance and ask them what would be covered. Mine did buy a new Macintosh for me once.

i'm with barclays premier - topped up the home insurance with an additional £7pcm back in july 2010.

this will cover any personal possessions inc. gadgets when brought out of the house up to the value of £2500.

cover includes theft, loss and accidental damage, with no excess

gives me peace of mind
