Long story short.

I had an iPhone 7+ 128gb. Went on vacation. Destroyed said phone. Started insurance claim. Received e-mail that said device was back ordered. Called insurance company. Guy said backordered. I asked if there was anything else they could do. Supervisor came on the phone and said either wait for the backorder, or they can cut me a check for the device, less the deductible. I received a check from Asurion for $733. I only owed $389 to AT&T for the remainder of my installment.

Win? You decide.

Either a new 7+ or the means to buy one. Otherwise I’d be pissed.

Doesn’t matter how much you owe att.

I input the amount of what I owed to AT&T in the aspect that I just effectively gained $300 with no sales effort. Was excited about that.

That being said, they could have just made me wait for the backorder (7-10 days) or given me a different color.

Doesn't that mean you now have $344 (cheque minus what you need to pay ATT, since you aren't returning the phone) and no phone?

That is correct. Saved me the legwork of trying to resell, and netted me more overall value than just trading it in or selling anyway.

I am using this until I get my X on Nov.3
