I'm really excited by what I've seen so far with developers having only worked on the SDK for a few days. I'm beginning to see how I could end up wanting a 16g phone. Has anyone heard a price range for apps when they come out?

seeing all these apps is killing me i don't have an iphone. But i must hold out till the second rev. c'mon WWDC

Development

Just remember most developers don't have the ability to put their apps on the phone or to test 3D, tilt, location, etc. because they haven't been approved by Apple. None of the iPhone specific features can be tested without this. So the only advanced games you'll be seeing early will be by companies that Apple has blessed.

Well, if nothing else it proves how easy it is to use the SDK.

This took five days from release of the SDK to the video of the demo going up, I reckon on another 95 days until the AppStore goes live, so plenty of time for developers of all shapes and sizes to get to grips with writing great apps.

One other thought, I haven't heard it expressed anywhere else yet (although I may just not have been looking hard enough), the iPhone is going to get a lot of developers used to programming in Cocoa that have never considered developing for the Mac platform before; I can see a potentially huge 'halo effect' of bringing developers, particularly games developers, over to the Mac as a platform via the iPhone.
