integrated graphics?

Why is everyone down on integrated graphics? Why does that make that much of a difference? Someone please explain.

You couldn't look at any of the other countless threads on the integrated graphics for your answer?
 
Integrated Graphics takes RAM away from the system and uses it towards graphics. (Instead of having it's own memory)
