Intel 2020 13" Macbook Pro to M1 Chip - worth the upgrade?

Is it worth the upgrade?

If my Intel 2020 13" MBP didn't get hot with simple tasks and didn't have a pathetic battery life I wouldn't be asking this question, but here we are.

How important is battery life to you? Is it worth the money you will lose from upgrading?

I am in a bizarre situation. I was waiting all summer for this release today. Then in late Mid October I had no choice, I needed a laptop and bought the MBP 13" 2020. I am not amazed by its battery life at all (3 support calls didnt really change something.. on average 4,5 hourse of YT watching) ... And today they release the same sized MBP with almost everything at least double in performance and battery life, to an even (much) cheaper price.

I will try to give mine back, since I bought mine exactly 20 days ago (in a store)... not sure though if the new MBP M1 better with 8 or 16 GB of RAM...

How strict is apple on the 14-day return policy?

It's written 14 days, and I went last week on the 14th after buying to the store, but the store in my city was due to an ungoing event closed on that day. I got this confirmed on the Apple support hotline, and was recommended to make a appointment for the next time. I did so, but tomorrow was the first free appointment I can do.... so I don't know. Friends told me Apple is great in this regards... I hope!
