After a full day usage of Intel 320 in my MBP, I have no complain whatsoever.
If you want a reliable, problem free SSD as opposed to overpriced SATA III SSD drives, then this one is to go for. If I didn't order 240GB Mercury Extreme Pro 6G, I would've just slapped in 300GB version in my MBP and call it a day.

problems have been reported on both the 510 and vertex 3. Real life performance is not a noticeable difference IMHO. Really its more like why waste the $$ on sata III right now when it has problems + speed is negligible. I got a 64 gb SSD for $75 (vertex 2). I havn't had any problems with it. reliability over raw performance.

Where did you get it for $75?

I'm not sure what your point is? The test you linked is run in Windows also. Anand seems to think this is the best test of overall SSD speed. I have not seen any data showing the test can be "easily mislead."

As you know the current Windows version is 7. PC Mark Vantage is based on Vista, an OS that was released in 2006. That means that all the tests that are simulated in PC Mark Vantage are elements of Vista (bootprocesses, mediaplayer, photo import etc.).

The PCMark version that will be based on Windows 7 is soon to be released: http://www.pcmark.com/benchmarks/pcmark7/

PCMark Vantage is often wrong. A few examples here:http://www.anandtech.com/show/4256/the-ocz-vertex-3-review-120gb/11
In real world performance the 240GB Vertex 3 is significantly faster than the 120GB and the Intel 510 is significantly faster than Force 120. In PCMark Vantage it's the other way around.

I don't see why one would trust a benchmark suite like Vantage while there are many real world benchmarks to be found. Here's another one

These forums are full of happy Intel X25 (G2) users who report they have not noticed any speed loss after significant usage. Read over the TRIM patch thread and you will find some posts from users who TRIM'd their X25 and did see some write performance increase.
Under light usage (most people) I don't think it's a problem either. And yes the TRIM patch totally solves the matter.

Where have you seen reports of Intel G3 (Intel 320 SSD) users having performance degradation?
I haven't. According to Anandtech the G3 and G2 have similar GC, they also use the same controller so I treated them as one.

The new Intel drives do have garbage collection in firmware. Whether it is as good or better than Sandforce I think is too soon to judge.
I personally don't doubt Anandtech's testing in this matter. It's only valid for heavy usage though.

PS. I'm not saying the Intel 320 is a bad choice, I'm saying there are faster options out there.
