Hello Macbook users,

I wonder what type of Intel CPU was built in by Apple in Macbook Air and Macbook Pro laptops. Majority of PC laptops today with Intel CPUS are actually U type which means power efficient or ultra low power consumptions. Naturally this is directly correlated to the performance. Which type of Intel CPUs are built in and whether there is a difference between Air and Pro?
I can understand that U CPUs went in Airs and H CPUs in Pros?

For example, all I know about my MacBook Air, 2015 is that CPU is 1,6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, in Technical specification on Apple page is
1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz) with 3MB shared L3 cache, but no info about type.

I hope somebody here will know more.

if only someone come up with something I would call a search engine... which would have some kind of link to a free online knowledge base 🤪🤓😎
Haha, never been on this particular web page, but my first pick was to examine apple support web page and couldn't find this info there. So ULT is the same as U on Intel CPUs built into PC laptops. ULT = Ultra Low Thermal design power. I have found something similar but was surprised that ULT was also in MacBook Pros, because of the performances one would expect that Macbook Pro has H CPU type.

Thank you
