MP All Models Intel DC P4610 6.4TB recogize issue?

In the suported SSD list of the new released Sonnet Fusion Dual U.2 SSD PCie Card, it has Intel DC P4610 SSD.

But when I use the card and the SSD, my Mac Pro still doesn't recogize it in Mac OS. Does someone have a way to fix it?

I could not get a Intel U.2 drive I bought from eBay to be recognized in MacOS. In windows it was fine.
I think it was a Engineering Sample or Quality Sample. If you got it from eBay at a gold price, I would bet that.

This is in Windows a really fast SSD, but can’t get it worked on Mojave or Catalina

One suggestion that may help you out: contact Sonnet as a sales inquiry into their product, tell them the drive is listed on their compatibility chart and you want to confirm because there is an issue with another adapter. See what they say or don’t. Doesn’t cost you a thing and might get an answer worth exploring. I’d imagine if their adapter works, it’d be worth the investment.

I already called Intel and Apple. They both said they don't have the driver for P4610/P4XXX SSD for Mac OS.

Sonnet said they tested the Intel SSD successful in their lab using their card without extra driver. They will help me to replace a new card and see whether the issue can be fixed.

I bought the Sonnet board and two Intel DC P4510 8TB drives to go in it, based on the compatibility list posted above. Today I installed them in my 2019 Mac Pro and the drives are not recognized. I just went back to Sonnet and now there is a footnote by the DC P4510 and DC P4610 saying that they are NOT compatible with MacOS. This new list was published Oct 19 (two days ago). Nice. I wonder if Sonnet will compensate me for the loss I will have to take reselling these drives.

The season why they updated the list 2 days ago is that I contacted with them last week and tested lots of solutions but still didn't work, so we achieved the conclusion that the card doesn't support Intel P4XXX. Currently, I am starting the return process.

I'm about to order Micron 9300 Pro drives. I hope those work! I also hope I can return the Intel drives on eBay. How could they possibly have successfully tested the Intel drives in their lab?

They only tested successfully on 905P and infer the card will also works for other Intel drives on Mac OS. I am not sure about Micron 9300 Pro. I suggest you to send an email to their IT support first.

I just talked with Sonnet, and they say that the 9300 Pro drives like I ordered are what they have tested the most and that they work fine.
