Nope. It wasn't meant to play COD4. It can play it, but not look that good. I thought everyone knew this about that graphic card.

It turned out OK- with 4GB ram...
the gun sights wernt blurry after i turned off all the eye candy (ie. blood, glow, depth of field etc)
its not noticable the lighting just sucks.

i hope i get apple's new macbook... aluminium cover, screen a whole piece f glass and a nvidia video card... better than the old macbook PRO!:(

The x3100 drivers are horrid. On paper it should be MUCH better than it is. When are we getting the new drivers?

    GMA programming

Is it possible to use GMA x3100 as GPGPU for parallel computation?
    Are there any tools available?

You can be glad that the X3100 displays the desktop at 1920x1200 and plays 720p - so, no.

Go nVidia or AMD if you want proper graphics, Intel doesn't know how to do that.

The new one is not good enough for gaming. Get a pc or a xbox 360 for games.

I, too have felt the pain of the x3100. That is, until the MacBook died on me. Now, I have a 13" uMBP.
