The new i7's CPU is definitely powerful enough for any task I throw at it (video editing, programming, etc). However, the one disappointment is the Integrated Graphics Processor (the Intel HD3000). If I hook up a TV to the Thunderbolt port and play video fullscreen (on the TV), the video isn't smooth. To test this, I used the NHL's gamecenter website. I used Chrome (which has it's own "built-in" Flash player). If I use a MBP (with the Nvidia), the video displayed on the TV is smooth (just like broadcast TV). If I use the Air, the video is definitely not as smooth (you can see it skipping some frames). If I *don't* use fullscreen on the TV, then the Intel HD3000 doesn't have any problems. It's just fullscreen. Frustrating.
