I know my stuff when it comes to powerpc macs, but i am clueless on intel macs

my question is, i have a powerpc with all my apps for that computer,
i know i need the new version of final cur and photoshop, but can i install other programs like microsoft office 2004 or little programs liek isquint or mac the ripper?
or do i need to find new intel based versions of everything?

someone clue me in
thanks

Just about all PPC programs will run on Intel Macs using Rosetta. More demanding ones such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Office (to some extent), etc. tend to be a bit slow. But since universal versions aren't available yet, you don't have much choice.
