This morning my laptop decided to be uncooperative.

Boots up and restarts after a few minutes, no matter what.

Sitting at the desktop, sitting in Safe Mode, sitting in Recovery mode, just sitting waiting to login… it just restarts.

Plugged in, has battery and power.

Feels like hardware, but I wanted to check to see if there‘s anything else I can try before giving up.

Thanks.

Not sure if the specs, per se, could be what’s causing it to reboot loop, though. You think model, year, or specs might give an alternate non-hardware failure reason for rebooting while idling at the login screen?

Some failures can be model dependent.
Software failures can be model dependent?

if it’s hardware, it’s hardware. There’s nothing I, personally, can do to resolve that. My question isn’t “what hardware” but “is it hardware”?

Regardless, it was unusable so I bought another laptop. I’ll have a shop determine whether it’s feasible to replace any bad hardware.
