user418 macrumors 6502a Jul 10, 2012 #2 The MBP will accept any 2.5" drive. Are you trying to place it in the HDD slot or the ODD slot. If you are placing in the optibay a caddy such as the OWC Data Doubler is required.

user418 macrumors 6502a Jul 10, 2012 #4 Should fit no problem. No adapter needed. You may have to use the screws from the old SSD on the new SSD. Aren't they both the same size?
