I just wish they would add html to the emails. As it stands i cant look at the email section because its just a mess of html tags.

I would like some added reader functionalities and facebook avatars to show up as well.

I'm thinking they are working on it. But I agree that text can be frustrating.

Anyone want to help me make a list of notification center widgets that aren't fully compatible with ISX?

For example, here is mine so far:

Quicknote does not open keyboard on the lockscreen NC but it does on the normal NC.

Appscenter does not work on a password-protected lockscreen NC, but it works in the regular NC.

Weecompose does not bring up a keyboard on the lockscreen NC, but it does on the regular NC.

Weeflashlight works on both screens for me. I'll try the others and report back.

You're right. It worked after a respring.

But both weecompose and quicknote do not open a keyboard in the lockscreen. Any ideas on how to fix this?

What's the best notification settings you guys have w/ISX? When I unlock my screen, I get all the email banners (I disabled on LS)...but I don't want to turn them off as I wan to see them when I use my phone. Same with other notifications.

I think I'll be passing IntelliscreenX for now for the following reasons:

1) Laggy NC, takes 1 to 2 secs to pull down, laggy scrolling

2) Seems to conflict with SBsettings on the lockscreen. Whenever swipe to the right on the stat bar, 90% of the time IntelliscreenX and SBsettings will come down at the same time, leaving me stuck with IntelliscreenX(Cant close it or unlock iPhone)unless i open an app (eg.Mail) from IntelliscreenX and then close SBsettings.

3)Battery Drain

4)Weeflashlight doesnt work even with a respring (Seems to affect appstore torchlight apps as well)

5)The beta updates dont seem to be helping with the above either

Such a shame! I loved the fb, twitter feeds a swipe away from NC, but its too much of a hassle than a convience especially when it costs $9.99.

I don't have any of these issues. I don't use sbbsettings and weeflashlight though. You wrote about rebooting (I see it in the email notification) - do you use Springtomize 2?

Nope. My iPhone rebooted again 5 minutes after posting without intelliscreenx. So I guess it's something else.

Noticed two issues with IntelliscreenX lately:

1) When reading RSS feeds, you can't open them in Safari any more. If you tap the icon, the option comes up, but if you tap "Open in Safari" nothing happens. You need to double-tap the home button to go back to the lockscreen.

2) Also when reading RSS feeds, sometimes it will come up and say "Server not found". The only way to get rid of it is to reboot (since SBSettings is blocked on the lockscreen).

They just posted an update:

IntelliScreenX 1.1.112 released (BETA repo only). *Major* performance improvements (it's "zippier"!). New RSS Reader design and more!

Maybe it will solve some lag issues for some of you? I haven't noticed a difference since I never experienced performance issues in the first place. Also don't use the RSS reader :p

Can anyone explain to me on the twitter/facebook/ect settings pages:

what the 2 refresh settings do (on ISX view, on xxx view)
what the difference is between them
is it better to have them long or short?

Thanks

On ISX view will refresh that widget x time after you've pulled down the Notification center. On x view will refresh it after x time while viewing that widget. Set to larger intervals for refreshes less often. I set mine to 6 hours so that hey refresh if I haven't been on it in a lonnng time but it's basically manual for when I want to refresh it.

So after months of poor battery life, I started doing the ol' 'remove this tweak for a couple days, see if there is an improvement' thang.

REALLY hate to say it... REALLY REALLY hate to... but ISX was the culprit of my terrible battery life.

I had the lockscreen NC enabled, but did not have any of the pages (Twitter, Facebook, RSS) enabled. The only widget I had in NC was ISX QuickSettings or whatever it was called. Not even the weather widget. I also was not using Dashboard X. Basically, ISX was not supposed to be tasked with doing any updating of any data.

This hurts. This was easily my favorite tweak next to bite, but it isn't worth having to worry about plugging the phone in by 5 PM every day.

Still have bite, My3G, Springtomize 2, Activator, and a few other tweaks on there, FYI.

^^^ One of the reasons why I stayed away from ISX myself. Check out LockInfo instead. Very customizable and not a battery hog whatsoever. One of my favorite and most essential JB apps/tweaks.

That's disappointing since it's my favourite tweak. When the 5.1.1 jb is out and I update, I'll go a few days or a week if I can without ISX and see how it goes.

Are you sure it's not a battery hog? Do you use any themes for it? I gave it a try months ago but can't remember much since I had it and ISX installed and I focused more on ISX. I can't use the free trial again so I'll have to buy it now. The thing is, even if I were to uninstall ISX, I still want Messages+ and I really don't want to pay $7 for it since I paid $10 for ISX and it came with it.

I second that notion! I LOVE LockInfo. In fact, I just mentioned this in another thread haha. Lockinfo is so customizable that it's actually intimidating at first, especially for people who prefer "plug in play" style software. Lockinfo is definitely not a battery hog for me. I keep the refresh intervals far apart, and then just click on the little refresh icon on the notification center if I want it to check my email, rss feed etc.

It's fully themable too if you like to theme. They have pre-made themes you can install via cydia or on various forums you can download and install full theme packages via a deb file. Plus there are many tutorials on how to theme Lockinfo yourself via iFile or SSH. Many, many options.

But most importantly, every single notification center tweak or addon is compatible with Lockinfo. And I am almost 100% positive dashboard X and Lockinfo can coexist together and they play nice together. But if you only want Lockinfo, you can already use any notification center addon on your home screen via Lockinfo. So it's kind of redundant anyways. I have read people prefer dashboard X over lockinfo's homescreen feature. But I can't say one is better than the other as I have not tried dashboard X yet and I only use calendar pro as a widget on my homescreen.

Good luck with the battery drain! Report back if you make any more progress.

I'm positive it's not a battery hog at all. That's what I love about it the most. I'm super picky when it comes to tweaks/apps that have a negative effect on the battery and will NOT install anything that will drain it quicker. It comes preloaded with about 5 themes but as BumpyFlatline stated, you can get other themes in Cydia and elsewhere for even more customization options.

The thing is, even if I were to uninstall ISX, I still want Messages+ and I really don't want to pay $7 for it since I paid $10 for ISX and it came with it.

Why not contact the developer and ask him if you can TRANSFER your purchased license from ISX to Messages+? Just remember to ask nicely. ;)

I just downloaded IntelliScreenX and have a few questions:

1) Are there add ons? For Lockinfo there is a cydia folder for all the available add ons but I don't see that for IntelliScreenX.

2) Is it possible to have a specific twitter list showing instead of just all new tweets?

3) Is this just on the Notification Center or on the Lock Screen too?

Thanks!

Why are my notifications not clearing when I open them anymore? They're staying in the center until I manually clear them. It never used to do that.

1) Add ons are in Cydia in Sections under Addons (Notification Center). I keep those in the top shelf.

2) You can click the header in the twitter page of ISX and it'll switch between your timeline and mentions.

3) You can turn it on for the lock screen also by going to Settings > Notifications > IntelliScreenX Settings and turn on Show on Lock Screen.

For some apps I get the same, instagram for example. If it's happening to all your apps then you should email the devs by going to ISX on cydia.
