Hello all,

So. I have been using my iPhone (6s+) to work as a hotspot for other devices. Normally I would use wifi solution, but it doesn't seem as stable as when using Bluetooth.

The 6s+ connects fine to an iPad (BT). But it is incapable of seeing other iPhones. I have two with which I am having problems (5 and 5c), the two other devices can also only see the iPad and not each other. I have done some reading online and on these forums, but to no avail.
All are running iOS 9.

Does anyone have any input?

Different networks or the same? Also you aren't that clear in the problem and I am a little confused

The same network, I'll try clarify!

Using a mobile data sim in the iPhone 6s+, and trying to connect another iPhone to it, via Bluetooth. The iPhones cannot "see" each other (not discoverable), where as when trying with an iPad there is no problem.

Ah what I thought but the way you had worded it made me unsure.

Apparently it's a common problem with iOS 9.3 after a quick Google search. Have you tried resetting network settings on all devices (or the other solutions here)? Here's how:

*From what I remember of it last time it restarted my phone too, so make you have anything important saved*
1. Open Settings
2. Scroll down to General
3. Go right to the bottom and tap reset
4. There will be an option for "reset network settings" and then tap that

You're welcome :) let me know if it works

Never replied!
Regrettably the rest-name change combination didn't work. Thank you very much for the comments though!

Maybe a fix will come with iOS 10! :)

Hmm maybe try contacting Apple if it becomes too bothersome. Yours is the first case to not be fixed with network settings reset. iOS 9.3.3 came out so that may have fixed it.

Thanks again, it did work via wifi, but disconnected too quickly. Bluetooth would have been nice to have.
I'll try 9.3.3 soon, and hopefully, at worst iOS10 will solve some issues!!
