Hello Everybody

One of the feature i love in Apple iOS 8 is Interactive Notifications.
I use the feature as much in iMessage.

But i hope, that could be the only application we can use the feature for the following reasons.

1) Cannot reply to messages of 3rd Party Applications
2) 3rd Party application won't love that feature, as users would hardly open their apps.
3) Developer would just use it to show Open App button like Skype and Twitter which would make the feature useless.

Share your thoughts on this.

First off, the interactive text field is not available to third parties, so it's going to just be iMessage for a while. Third parties can and are doing some cool things with the new button functionality though. I especially like being able to archive email directly from the lock screen. Many clients already support this.

I do hope that developers will use this feature extensively. How great it would be to be able to approve blog posts from the lockscreen or notifications shade without needing to enter the app (I am a school teacher who runs a school blog which pupils will visit and comment on periodically). Or the ability to archive, trash or snooze mailbox emails. The possibilities are endless.

Viber just updated with Interactive Notifications!

So it is available for 3rd party apps like WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, etc.
