Hey all! Long time reader first time poster. A friend and I are working on a Rails application that will send you an email notification when a specific iDevice is in stock at a apple store of your choice (you can specify carrier, size, and color). It has a login and checks the store every ten minutes.

I am interested to see if anyone will actually be interested in it. I think we all saw the frustration and tears that came from a short supply of this years iPhone, and we would love to fully develop and deploy it.

Let me know what you think and features that you might want. Thanks!

I'd definitely be interested in trying this out.
Especially for people who can't be at the computer all the time.

I'd be interested in using it, as well! Would you be able to select multiple stores? For example, I'm within 15 minutes of 2 different apple stores, so it would be helpful to get notified if either of them got one in stock!

yes welcome to yesterday

This is completely different. Our app can send you an email notification for any device in any configuration, for any store. This is nice, but you still have to manually put in your zip code and check whenever you want. I think we can offer a much better alternative.

Yes! You can select as many stores and as many different device configurations as you want.

Thank you, I'm very aware of this app. The differentiation feature of the site proposed by the OP is that it emails you when there is a stock update. The link above means you have to be at a computer, with the site open, and refresh every time you want to check. So, yeah...not the same.

Thank you.
