Being the bored, aimless, procrastinating fool that I am, I was digging around on Alexa.com and I noticed a really weird traffic pattern for macrumors.com. See here: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/t...e=medium&compare_sites=&url=macrumors.com#top

I thought about the wild swings in traffic shown on the graph, and then I realized: all the huge upticks appear to be on Tuesdays. It must be that a vast number of people check in only on Tuesdays, looking for Apple announcements. Or else I'm just missing something because, in addition to being bored, aimless, and procrastinating, I can also be dumb.

Just thought that was interesting.

Heh, we crush Microsoft.com in comparison of popularity.

Oh, that's hilarious.

For those who know, it seems that the announcements for new hardware have tendencies to come out on Tuesdays.

Who would have thought that the traffic would be that biased as well....

I happen to be a regular visitor, more than once daily. Very proud to be a member of such a popular site!

This is hands down the best comunity based site ive ever been to/been a member of. A very helpful comunity with members that know their stuff.

Re: Interesting site traffic pattern for Macrumors

Nah... I don't think it's a Tuesday phenomenon.

If you look at other sites, there are similar trends. It's just the way the stats are recorded I think.

Holy thread resurrections, Batman!

Still, looks like our popularity is growing:

Shares in MR? I don't get it... but there's prob. a good reason for that.
It's a virtual trading site... good for fun, no real $$$ involved, AFAIK.

Watch out on the toolbar though. Slowed down my PC when i installed it. but everything slows down my PC. :D
