Check out this article from 1997 in Wired. Its entitled: "101 Ways to Save Apple"

It's pretty funny how some of the things Apple has actually done!

#8: Buy a song: "Respect" by Aretha Franklin. Steve Jobs finally mentioned that song just this year!

#31: Internet phone. Maybe they'll call it the ePhone.

#34: Port the OS to the Intel platform. Wait, isn't Intel the competition?

#50: Give Steve Jobs as much authority as he wants in new product development. The poor guy never gets his way these days.

#80: Maintain existing loyalty at all costs. Like giving vouchers to early iPhone adopters?

#90: Design a desktop model with a built-in cappuccino maker. Maybe that's what the Starbucks deal was really about.

#93: Develop a way to program that requires no scripting or coding. Automator has put all programmers out of work.

#98: Testimonials. That's what put Ellen Feiss on the Apple board of directors.

#101: Don't worry. You'll survive. It's Netscape we should really worry about. Netwho?
