I’m not sure if it’s the iPhone 12 Pro or iOS14, however I am experiencing a very loud shutter sound when using Portrait mode. It happens intermittently, as in every other photo, one LOUD one normal volume. This only happens in Portrait mode, not the other camera modes.

I thought it was a SW bug and would. be fixed in late versions of iOS14. Not so far though.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any fixes?

I have the same problem with the iPhone Pro Max, iOS 14.2.1, default camera app's portrait mode.

I don't mind the shutter sound, as long as it's not obnoxiously loud, and as long as it is consistent.

I brought this up in another thread last week. My regular camera shutter volume was extremely low, almost muted on my Pro Max But if I took a photo with Portrait...oh that sound was there! I played around with "Sound/Haptics" in the settings, MAYBE a slight change?

The updated 14.2 that came out for the 12 models Thurs. night seemed to improve the faint camera shutter...that is louder. Portrait shutter is still a tad louder though

Few other sound oddities with this. The Chime when I charge, "click" when I hit power to lock and especially keyboard typing (I'll hear the clicking when I type suddenly the volume of this is almost non existent). The volume of this is pretty random.

Annoying? Yeah a little, but its not affecting picture quality, or messages I type so thats fine.
Just a strange sound "bug"

For portrait photos, I started using a different camera app. But, it would be nice to use a single app, the official camera app.
