If you still can't get it to work you can try this or just install an original back into your macbook pro. http://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/VLSS9TOPTU2/ Original Superdrive: http://www.powerbookmedic.com/Unibody-Macbook-Pro-Superdrive-UJ-868-95mm-SATA-UltraSlim-Slot-Loading-p-17261.html The original can be found cheaper. All the superdrives on the unibody macbook pro are interchangeable so use a part number from the link above to find one at a better price.
