After much talk over the last few days and some unfortunate words on this forum (which we sincerely apologise for, this is not what we wanted or intended when we initially started posting). We have now finalised a new Classic Mac Pro GTX Titan GPU with full functionality, this is a result of our own tweaking and strictly our own.
We have removed the MacVidCards EFI rom from our Titan cards (which purely gave us a boot-screen). There was confusion regarding this (we did not know our cards were using it), which we have now cleared up with our developer. This has caused bad blood with the rom's original creator which we once again apologise for. We did not intend to use his EFI without consent (hence removing it from our cards).
We will now develop our own EFI from scratch, in the meantime for a boot screen we will use an nVidia GT120 as a secondary card. This card is intended to provide the boot screen and only that (by the way it gives full RAM from the Titan to an app that uses it anyway, you will just lose a PCIe slot for the GT120).
Our Titan cards are completely internally powered and run faster than any we have seen before by any other developer (if anyone has got it running faster this is amazing, we just haven't seen it). This includes the double precision performance, we have only tested this in OS X 10.10 today, we will try earlier versions tomorrow.
Again apologies for the awful comments on previous threads. Hopefully we can create some happy faces with our new work. Our guys have worked really hard to pull this off, some screenshots have been posted below, I'm sure you'll find them very impressive. This card is awesome and the fact that it is running completely off internal power at full functionality is incredible, add to this the fact that it is working in a Mac Pro that is nearly 5 years old.
We will not be commenting on the previous thread from this point as we are not interested in getting into arguments and have made our apology. From now on we will be much more cautious when it comes to posting on MacRumors as we do not intend to be part of any further disputes. We are simply interested in supporting the Classic Mac Pro, as it is a system we love, and want to keep it current for as long as professional users need it for their workflow.
