It is also my last day in my current job, so it is going to be akward for me to get away early/arrive late (nearest Apple Store is 100 miles away!).

I'm seeing it all over the net on various sites, but nothing in Apple's press release.
I hope to be proven wrong, but I am unsure about those UK prices....

I was wanting a 64GB... but I may go for 32GB if those prices turn out to be true. What I don't get though is that the price difference between 16GB and 32GB is less than the difference between 32GB and 64GB. That doesn't seem right to me...
So my question is, do I wait up until 12:01am on May 10 or will pre-order start at a sensible time?
Should be at normal opening hours e.g. 9-10am from what an Apple employee has just told me over the phone
You can lie in until 9am at the earliest, although some have reported a 10am start for the Pre-Orders.
There's a link from the MacRumors.com homepage. Apparently you need to go into your countries Apple site. The Press Release is customised with the prices.
I have called Apple Sales but they didn't give me any information other than the 10th May. I have read that some member's of Apple staff have been told NOT to discuss the pricing (or iPad at all) until Monday morning.
If you've registered your interest on the Apple.com/uk/ipad site you can pre-order the moment you receive the email on Monday morning.
My local store opens at 9am, so I'll be there then. If I have to wait, it's no biggie I'll sit in Starbucks and play Fieldrunners.
