Hello folks!

Well, I'm planning a business trip to the US and I'm almost sure buying a new MBP to me (non-retina). My question is about warranty.

1) Is it global? I mean, I live in Brazil. If I got any trouble I would be covered?
2) If I bought the laptop with student discount (aka not in my name) can the laptop be "transferred"? To be in my name in case I have problems, or does it not matter?

Thanks a lot and have a wonderful sunday :)

I'm not 100 percent certain but I think that if you get applecare, you can use it at any apple store. As for transfer of ownership, that shouldn't be a problem. Applecare is transferable so you can just say you bought it from someone.
