interne/ router help

i have a netgear dg834g which requires an ADSL connection
however i dont think my virgin media internet is ADSL.
is there any kinda adaptor i can get to connect them?
i dont really wanna buy a whole new router

Ah, it has an ADSL modem integrated in with a router. And looking at the picture of the ports it doesn't look to have the ability to connect to an external modem.

In conclusion, looks like you need to buy a new router. (Don't get one that is integrated with a modem next time.)
