I can now only access the internet via Firefox and Entourage. For the last two days, Safari, itunes and Google Earth say they can’t open the page “http://...../” because it could not connect to the server “......”.

I have run the disk utility and ONYX and have not been able to restore the internet access to these apps.

The problem appeared after starting up the computer the next day after successfully using Safari and itunes the previous day.

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked your System Preferences? My guess is you have a proxy server set there. My reasoning is that every application that cannot access the Internet is supplied by Apple and can use the System Preferences. The other two applications that work use their own preferences.

Many times it will happen the same with me... I dont know why... Even I'm looking for the permanent solution for this...

A Proxy was the problem. I do not remember messing with the proxy settings but the web Proxy (HTTP) box was checked. Clearing the box and applying the change corrected the problem.

Thanks again!!
