Internet Access While in Italy??

Don't really know where to post this one? But here it goes anyway... I'm in Milan for the summer for work. I bought a brand new 15 PB just before leaving the USA to use as our family portable (I have a wintel thing for work 🙁 ). Does anyone here have any advice for for connecting to the internet??? I'm looking into some "free" (libero.it) dial-up services, since most broadband stuff here requires longet-term contracts than I can do right now(I may be here for 2 years - I know more in Sept, then I'll get "fast-web").

Any expericence with mobile UTMS or GPRS over here?

Any experience with dial-up?
