Hey everyone,

I am hoping I can get some hep diagnosing my macbook pro.

Recently my mbp has decided to not play nicely with the internet. Whenever I connect I can load maybe three pages, then my computer still shows it as being connected to the internet but it will no longer load any pages. This issue occurs regardless of whether I am connected via ethernet or wifi.

I have tested the computer in multiple locations and this issue is persistent. It is especially frustrating as I can still access and use the internet on my ipod touch or my hp laptop sitting right next to the mbp.

If anyone has any ideas of what this issue might be it would be greatly appreciated.

Check your IP on your MBP against the IP table on your router and see if there are any IP conflicts or anything else that might be weird.

Is it only at your house? You said multiple locations, meaning multiple wireless points.

If it is local to your house, sounds like an IP conflict but not likely since your network is probably DHCP.

What happens when you turn off/on airport (wireless card)? Same problems?

You can check to see what driver you are using for the wireless card, make sure it is up-to-date. If it is try uninstalling it and reinstalling it.

You can also perform a loopback test as well to check your TCP/IP stack.

I'm still new to the Mac side of things so I am not up to speed on how to do these things on my/your system.
