This might be kind of a lame thread to start, but I wanted to let peopel know that I am actually logged into MacRumors right now on an iMac G5 20" 1.8GHz using Internet exploer for Mac! Ha Ha. Yes, this is true.

The funny thing is that th tabs didn't show up properly and I had to guess where the forums tab was to log in(which took 3 attempts), but it works!!!

And yes, I might be a little crazy to use IE for Mac, btu I wanted to try it anyway.

Nah, not crazy. I fire up IE sometimes just to go back to 2004 or so every once in a while. In fact I have a plethora of old browsers, all collected over time because I usually never delete older apps.

Mozilla, Chimera, Netscape, Navigator (two different versions of the app, named differently) and so on.

They are all still useful for little things. Or just screwing around. 😀

I use it occasionally on my Mom's G5. It's just so old! Did people actually like this?!

It was (arguably) the best around back in the day & shipped as the default browser on all Macs through 1997(?) & 2003 (with the introduction of Safari).

IE works great for macintosh garden website 😀
