For a few seconds, but it is so strange. Every day at 5:03 am and 5:03 pm (no joke) my internet goes out for a few seconds. I have an access point (a WiFi extender pretty much, that’s what Spectrum calls it) and it goes out at the same time every day. Has anyone ever had this issue? Should I reboot the access point or the actual router? It just recently started about a month or two ago.

Try both. In my experience, most networking issues are fixed with a reboot.

Does your internet go out every where? Try unplugging the extender and see if you have the same issue.

Good idea, and on all devices, yes, but in a different area of the house.. not sure. Haven’t been in another area that time yet. I just wonder what causes it to go out at the same time every day

Check your router settings for 'DHCP lease time'; if it's set to 12 hours then it'll effectively be forcing reconnection.

it is probably lease time related.
i suggest you take a look at this link to really understand and set the best lease time for your environment.

All great answers, but the fact is the NSA has to change batteries on their key loggers every 12 hours.

Yep mine goes out at 12:03AM every night and I don’t fall under NSA surveillance . I’m in the UK.

Actually, the NSA is "prohibited" from spying on US citizens. Their focus is supposed to be foreign citizens and governments. So you are a prime target.
