Ok so I am a student living in the dorms and the only form of internet in the room is an ethernet cord. My macbook connects to the internet thru it fine but I was wondering if there was a way of my getting my iphone 4 onto the internet thru my computer's connection, perhaps by the usb or something but I'm not sure how to go about it. My apologies if this question has been asked, I attempted to look thru the forums first. Thanks.

No, you wont be able to get internet from your computer by usb.
But maybe your mac can turn into a wifi hotspot and share the ethernet connection via wifi or bluetooth so your iphone can connect to it.

Or you could pay $30 and get a Wireless-G router. Not the greatest but it should get the job done.
